Cultural appropriation is seen everywhere. Even celebrities are guilty of this crime. Celebrities, like Kylie Jenner, are wearing aspects of cultures themselves. For example, when Jenner got her hair braided into cornrows, there was an outrage from media. Some people commented that Jenner was "trying to be black" and criticized her for her hair. Other times, other celebrities put on "native American" wigs and were shamed for not understanding the meaning behind these traditional headdresses and wearing them for fun. Is having fun with elements of a culture other than your own harmful? Or is it just experimental. Also, women such as Rachel Dolezal identified as "black" and styled their hair int afros.
