Fashion designers like to take risks with their collections and looks. But what about when they take an element of someone else's culture and present it as their own? This has occurred several times and is, in a way, plagiarism. 2015 was an especially brutal year for designers who created pieces that were considered anything from offensive to grotesque. Models were fitted with outfits described as "wild, tribal Africa" and "'DSquaw' — a derogatory term for a North American Indian woman or wife"., as said according to THE GOOD, THE BAD AND THE OFFENSIVE: A LOOK BACK AT THE YEAR IN FASHION CULTURAL APPROPRIATION. These outfits are both offensive to cultures and to women.
